This Volumising Spray By Sam McNight's Cool Girl range promises to give you the oomph your hair has

You asked, and Sam has delivered. Hair By Sam McKnight has just expanded its iconic Cool Girl range to include a volumising spray – and it couldn't have come at a better time. As party season approaches, we're looking for easy-to-use, effective products that give us great hair, quickly. Enter: volumising sprays, AKA hair magic in a can. They mask the dullness and limpness of your hair in an instant, so if you've been complaining about having flat or lifeless hair, then get to the front of the class. This product might just be for you.
Sam McKnight's newest Cool Girl Superlift Volumising Spray is no regular spray though. It's formulated with styling actives that not only help control unruly hair, but add a subtle, healthy sheen, while helping to reduce styling time. Plus, Sam McKnight's signature botanical fragrance leaves a fresh, floral aroma post-application.
To use, simply spray directly onto the roots on either damp or dry hair and then go ahead and blow-dry it. It will give you medium hold and some humidity resistance which is an office Christmas party essential, when you're dancing around in a room full of ‘merry’ people.
So, we asked five GLAMOUR staffers who have been looking for volume galore to lift and glaze their hair in this cold, windy and humid weather. Here are their honest thoughts on the Cool Girl Superlift Volumising Spray…

Sam McKnight's products are perfect for cool girls, and lazy girls. I have long, fine hair, with long layers which goes flat easily, especially on day two and three after wash day. I love that a few spritzes of this can revitalise limp hair, or updo-shaped hair (you know when you take your hair down and your roots still lay flat) in a couple of minutes.
You can even apply it to wet or dry roots, before giving it a quick blast with your dryer, so you don't have to re-wash the whole lot to get an extra day of styling out of it. This extended the time I could go between washes, made my hair look good as new and gave my pancake roots some gravity and oomph. Obsessed.

I’ll be honest, volumising hairspray is not something I reach for on the regs. With curly hair, my main aim is usually smoothing and defining my curls, as opposed to giving them more volume. So, I was very intrigued trying the Cool Girl Superlift spray.
I sprayed to dry hair, along my roots, focusing on the front of my hair where I notice the most flatness after washing. After a few flips of my hair and hair-drying at the root, I saw a noticeable difference. My hair looked lifted in all the right places and smelt phenomenal. How foolish I’ve been denying volumising all this time!

I've always been a fan of Sam McKnight Hair products – frankly, I can't leave the house without a spritz of his Modern Hairspray. And my hair has been looking a little limp lately (read: in dire need of a bit of volume), so I was excited to try the Cool Girl Superlift ahead of party season.
I spritzed it onto my damp hair before blow drying, directly at the roots, then styled my hair as normal. The Juniper Wood and Water Lily scent is divine, and it served up noticeable thickness and lift which stayed all day. I love that it's 100% vegan, too.

If there’s anything I always look for when it comes to hair styling it’s the volume on my roots. Since I have heavy, long hair, the roots always tend to look more flat and dull compared to the rest of my hair, so imagine my excitement when I got my hands on the Cool Girl Superlift Volumising Spray. It works great even on a day when you can’t be bothered to do a whole hair routine — a few spritzes on your roots and your whole look is instantly elevated and the volume makes all the difference.
It’s incredibly lightweight and holds for longer than you’d expect too. Thanks to the humidity resistance, it survived a 30 minute walk in the rain and the wind, so that’s already a win in my book. The results are subtle but impressive and I’m definitely going to be reaching for it all year round.

A good hair day makes me feel like I can take on the world. That's why, at this busy time of the year, a bouncy blow dry is my way of showing myself a little bit of love. So, when asked to try out the new Sam McKnight, Cool Girl Superlift, volumising spray it was the perfect excuse for a pamper day. After a long bath and a deep hair cleanse, I toweled my hair dry and began to split into sections. Following the instruction on the bottle I sprayed the product at the root, grabbed a barrel brush and began blow drying.
What I love about this product is that it doesn't leave your hair feeling sticky or straw-like, rather it has a really weightless feel but still manages to give a good amount of hold. A few spritz is good enough for a full body and voluminous blow dry. Not only does the product actually work on my poker-straight hair, it also smells incredible. Giving professional results with salon fresh aromas to match, this product is a win in my eyes.
